PASAY — The International Pet Summit returns to the SMX Convention Center Manila on August 21 to 23, 2026, and organizers are promising the largest exotic-pet program the event has staged to date.
Distinct from the March-held Pet Summit Philippines — a naming collision that has confused pet owners and at least a few newsrooms — the International Pet Summit has carved out its identity as the education-first expo, with workshop tracks running all three days alongside its exhibitor halls.
The 2026 exotics program spans reptile and amphibian showcases, avian nutrition and free-flight seminars, aquascaping demonstrations, and rabbit and cavy club corners. A session on Philippine wildlife law and DENR registration returns by popular demand, aimed at keepers who want to stay firmly on the right side of the rules.
Dog and cat programming continues in parallel: grooming contests, senior-pet care seminars, veterinary talks, and adoption drives with partner shelters across all three days.
Most sessions remain free on a first-come basis, with a small number of ticketed masterclasses sold at the summit's registration booth. General admission is free for humans and pets alike; exotic animals must arrive in secure, escape-proof enclosures and be legal to keep under Philippine regulations.
"There is a serious, responsible exotics community in this country that rarely gets a mainstream venue," the organizing committee said. "This summit is where they teach everyone else."
