Pet Owners' Picnic

Davao's pet owners claim the lawns of People's Park for a relaxed Sunday picnic meetup. No stage, no contests with prizes you'll never use — just a big, friendly gathering with group walks around the park's sculpture gardens, a swap table for pre-loved pet gear, and a 'snack potluck' corner where the humans trade treats while the dogs trade sniffs.

Local vet volunteers host a free quick-check corner (weight, ears, coat) and answer questions one-on-one. Cats and small pets in carriers or strollers are welcome too; there's a shaded quiet zone away from the dog lawns. Organized by the Davao Pet Owners Community, which asks everyone to observe the park's leash rules and pack out their trash — leave only pawprints, as they say.
